Introduction
Established
in 1993, TIC International Ltd embarked on a textile recycling project.
Within three years TIC's goods became highly sought after for the
African, Middle Eastern and Asian markets. Soon TIC had orders 3
months in advance, and this continues to the present day.
Based in Birmingham, in the heart of England, TIC employs over 45
people and collects used clothing from across the UK. We have an
exclusive agreement with Islamic Relief, TIC's parent company, to
collect donated clothing. We also buy goods directly or indirectly
from other UK charities.
One of TIC's main objectives is to reduce the massive quantities
of used clothing currently being dumped as waste in the UK. We plan
to coordinate our efforts with other environmental agencies to increase
recycling, and reduce dumping into the waste stream.
Over the last 12 months TIC's production has nearly doubled due
to our relocation to newly refurbished 30,000 sq ft warehouses.
TIC is currently sorting over 50,000 kilos of clothing every week,
and further expansion is planned.
Quality
never Compromised
Despite
increased production we have been able to maintain high quality
levels for all our customers. We remain the UK's no. 1 quality supplier
for West African and Pakistani clothing.
TIC has earned its reputation for ethical business practices and
strict quality control. As a result our customers trust us to procure
goods from other suppliers in the US, UK and Europe, generating
10% of our income.
We look forward to becoming a major force in reducing waste and
improving the environment in the textile recycling industry.
Finally, we would like to thank our business partners who have given
us support in achieving our aims and objectives.
